Iniscealtra Festival of Arts is our annual local Festival held at various locations in and around the beautiful lakeside village of Mountshannon in County Clare.
The festival has been going from strength to strength. Each year a theme is chosen which all of the varied events reflect. Events are designed with something for everyone in the audience, with activities for all ages, such as drama, music, film, concerts, dance, painting / craft / dance workshops, singing sessions and lots more to be enjoyed. The Feakle Music Festival has its origins within the rich array of musical talents that abound on the East Clare area. From the era of the house dance, through the Hall dances and pub sessions - a rich tradition has been maintained and strengthened thus emanating in a very successful Music Festival. The Festival started some years ago in 1988 and has gone from strength to strength. It is now respected worldwide as one of the best of its kind in the country. A week of Music, Song, Dance, Poetry with guided walks and children's activities - all culturally based.

2012- Walking Festival based in our beautiful picturesque lakeside village of Mountshannon. The 2 day event will centre on sections of the East Clare Way, which is a National Waymarked Walking Route. All walks will be guided and will take in some of the great natural wild beauty of East Clare. Walks planned include Slieve Aughty and Slieve Bearnagh Mountains, taking in some magnificent scenery of Lough Derg and Lough Graney. All walks will be graded and there will be something suitable for walkers of all abilities and ages.
